Scuttlebutts & Tattletales

Games & Quizzes

These games are teaching tools we use when kids visit the museum. If you have access to computers in your classroom, these online versions can be used directly. If not, feel free to borrow or adapt the games or their content for classroom use.

Old State House Jeopardy
How well do you know your Arkansas authors? There are five "answers" in each round and five rounds altogether. We have provided multiple-choice "questions" to make it a little easier. If that strikes you as cheating, hold something up in front of the screen so you only see the "answer" and try to guess the "question" without any clues.

Test your skills with our Jeopardy game.

Scuttlebutt & Tattletales
What is a snood? Is it a form of urban snow removal or a crocheted hair net worn by women during the 19th century? Students who play this hilarious word history game will learn the definitions of many 18th and 19th century words no longer in use.

Guess the definitions in this multiple choice quiz.
