Currently closed for renovation These two rooms would be more nearly equal in size, were it not for the space occupied by the museum's elevator and other equipment. In 1836 they were likely divided into four courtrooms separated by a central passage. After 1885 there were only two spaces, both devoted to the Supreme Court Library. During the Medical School era, Room 15 was divided into offices on its north end and a hallway on the south. Room 16 served as the Specimen Laboratory. Oddly there was no doorway joining these rooms to the East Stairwell until the 1950s. Today these spaces are a changing exhibits gallery and are the site of the Old State House Museum's proposed high-tech Cyber Gallery.
